Komandoo is located at the top of the Lhaviyani Atoll, about 130 kilometers north of Male' International Airport. The transfer is a scenic 40 minute seaplane flight over the North Male' and Lhaviyani Atolls.

This offers breathtaking views of reefs and lagoons and their multiple shades of blue and aquamarine, before bringing you to the landing platform at Komandoo.

Accommodation is in 45 well-appointed wooden bungalows stretched right along the edge of the beach. Built o­n raised platforms, steps from the side lead you o­n to the terrace while steps in the front provide easy access to the beach.

The decked terrace is furnished with a wooden chequered table and two director's chairs providing comfortable seating for an afternoon of reading. o­n the beach in front of the bungalow are two sun-beds placed for your private use. Inside the rooms the atmosphere is rich and elegant.

Full glass doors provide a perfect view of the beach and sea in front of the bungalow. The hexagonal pine interiors complement with the carefully selected slim and sleek cast iron and wooden designer furniture.

You could choose between a bungalow furnished with a comfortable four poster bed. Glass topped bedside tables and dressing table with cushioned chair, a comfortable sofa seat, and a spacious wardrobe and luggage rack complete the picture. Black-framed paintings and marine picture adds to the ambience. Bedside lamps and a combination of table and floor lamps enable you to select your own comfortable lighting. All rooms are air-conditioned, and equipped with ceiling fan, mini-bar, mini safe and CD player.

Bathrobes and beach towels are provided in the room. The spacious en suite bathroom is semi-open air with a small, enclosed garden. The wooden look o­n the tiled floors complement with the d?cor of the rest of the bungalow.

The fully fitted bathroom is equipped with a circular glass shower cubicle, WC, twin wash basins with mirror, hairdryer, 12V DC shaver points and is facilitated with hot and cold fresh water.

Komandoo's restaurant and bar are built in a picturesque Maldivian style with exquisite furniture. Buffet breakfast and lunch are served in the main restaurant with theme dinner buffet daily. An all-inclusive package is available at a supplement.

The Kandu Bar serves all the usual bar drinks and stocks the finest wines and champagnes. The cocktail list will satisfy both the romantic and the adventurous.

Many different activities are available in Komandoo besides diving and snorkeling. In front of the Bar you can play Beach Volleyball, in the game room you can play table tennis or darts. Badminton is also available.

Selected watersports are free of charge, as windsurfing and canoes. Instructions in windsurfing or Top Cat catamaran sailing are also available in our Watersports- center.

Snorkelling:

The house reef of the island is excellent for snorkelling. However you may wish to see more of the underwater wonders that the Maldives has to offer.

With this in mind the ProDivers Dive Centre organises snorkelling excursions. This excursion takes you to two or three different reefs selected from amongst the many dotted around the resort.

Excursions:

These offer you a range of possibilities for venturing out for a change of scenery. You may visit resorts close by or catch a glimpse of the daily life of Maldivians in o­ne of the fishing villages. For those who wish to test their skills at fishing a variety of fishing expeditions are organised. Excursions are organised o­n a weekly or twice-weekly basis.

However these are subject to weather conditions and a minimum level of participation by the guests.

Entertainment:

Komandoo is a haven for a relaxing holiday.

Keeping in line with this theme, the evenings' entertainment is purposefully programmed to be low key, light and enjoyable- the o­nly exception being the disco evening o­nce a week. This too depends o­n whether you like it or not.

If you would rather have a quieter evening- which would obviously be reflected from the level of activity o­n the dance floor- the show ends. The rest of the entertainment inclines more towards the romantic. The 'Champagne Evening' or the 'Candlelight Dinner' would certainly provide lots of romantic moments for the memories.

Just for a laugh and some fun the resort also features 'animation' and bar games, from time to time, when your talents and participation may also be called upon.
